I expected it to come in a box covered with paper with an “alo” sticker on top or something. Both just arrived in a black bag for delivery. It is a gift, and I paid that amount of money expecting it to be something good enough for atleast a good packaging so I won't worry about that too. But paying 80$ for socks and a hair clip just for them to arrive like that isn't what I expected. Respectfully, I think customers deserve a good packaging in return of the money they pay.

Clearly, no action was taken in time, despite their confirmation. Now that the parcel has crossed international borders, I may be charged duties, return shipping, or even the full product price - all because they failed to properly process my return request.
Customer service is slow, unresponsive, and unhelpful. You're left in limbo while your parcel travels internationally. For a brand that promotes mindfulness and calm, the actual experience is full of stress and unnecessary hassle.
I won't be ordering from Alo Yoga again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting reliable service.

There are much better quality leggings out there. I followed steps for a return, and I received confirmation from Alo that my return was delivered. Alo states to "allow 2-4 business days for return to be processed. Once return is processed, you will receive an email confirmation letting you know that the process is complete. You will be refunded to the selected form of payment within 3-5 business days". It has been over 15 business days and still no refund. I contacted Alo via email with full details on the return and recieved an auto-generated response to provide more information and to wait 4 more business days to follow up. I decided to open a dispute with my bank instead. I should have read the reviews here and BBB first before buying from Alo.

ALO received it, but I have yet to receive a refund. Customer service have replied twice since the start of January asking me order number and then the tracking for the return. The last contact I had with them was 04/02/2025 where I provided them with all the proof and asked them to refund me in 5 days. Now I have heard nothing again.
I have initiated a charge back with my bank and will never shop with them again. I will be telling anyone I can to avoid this company like the plague!

This was in November and I still haven't received a refund. I paid via klarna and they haven't processed the return. I could only get hold of someone on live chat once and they confirmed they received it. However, I did not receive any email and that I would get my refund. I have now had to raise a dispute with Klarna and my bank. Please listen to all of these reviews because I've contacted Alo 5x and they have completely ghosted me.

I've raised a dispute with Mastercard and now they are claiming they have refunded me but the bank have no funds to give me.
They are flat out lying about the refund.

The parcel arrived one week later but 1 item is missing. They charged me the item which is out of stock. I tried the clothes, they are too big. I wanted to do a return. Yet, the online return portal just DOES NOT WORK. It said my order number cannot be retrieved!
Regarding the request on the return and the refund, I started to send emails and tried to chat with someone on their website since 18 Dec. It has been 1.5 months now - NOTHING IS WORKING. NO ONE IS RESPONDING.
I also tried to PM their 4 Instagram accounts. Of course, no reply. Not even an automatic reply suggesting where to get hold of the customer service.
The one-month free return window expired. I will have no way to do the return while no one is answering.
I am just being OVERCHARGED and having the pieces which are too big and I cannot return!!
Alo is definitely the best securing customers money and providing ZERO assistance and ZERO customer service. HORRIBLE!
Most importantly, I suggest everyone leave a comment on the Alo headquarter google map profile.

I was refunded for most but 1 item, costing $103. I have been reaching out to them since 11/25/2024 about a refund and all I keep getting is well look into it and no further follow up EVER! I ended up doing a chargeback because at this point I need and want my money back for items I no longer have and they received. I decided to reach out again because who wants to do a chargeback when the brand should be issuing the refund. I spoke with “Marielle” and supervisor who informed me I need to cancel the chargeback and she would issue the refund. I cancelled my chargeback within 5 minutes of getting off the phone with Marielle. I called back for 3 weeks straight and kept getting told it can take 7-10 business days for the charge to drop off. I reached out to my cc and they said the charge has finally dropped. I contacted Alo for the last time though texts and spoke with Mark. Mark informed me that it can take 75 days!!!! For the charge to drop off. I have never heard of such a absurd response. So no I have waited for 2 months and Mark told me I have to wait another 2.5 months. Totaling 4.5 months of waiting for a possible refund. At the 4.5 months mark I would no longer be able to do a chargeback. How perfectly sneaky of them. 4.5 months for $103 refund. That's absolutely insane. I have video of myself packaging the returns and dropping them off. I have the tracking numbers and screenshots they were ALL delivered with no issues. I am seriously considering legal action for the trauma they have put me through having to call them and email them ( which they never follow up on) and text them. I have NEVER had to put this much work in for a return. I am mentally and emotionally drained from having to deal with this nonsense. I will NEVER order from this garbage brand again.

I received an email on Dec 23 saying my return had been received and it would take 2-4 days to process my return. It's been almost a month since I received that email, and I have NOT received a credit to my credit card for merchandise.
Over the last 4 weeks I have tried to contact Alo Customer Service by phone and by email. When I tried to call customer service I was put on hold for literally 2 hours and had to hang up. I called back the next day and a call back. I received a call back 8 hours later and unfortunately was in the middle of dinner and missed the call. I sent an email asking for the status of my credit on Jan 7, 2025. I did not receive any reply until Jan 16. Then the reply said they need my order number (which was already included in my original email) I replied with my order info immediately and have not heard back.
This is lack of service and response is beyond ridiculous. This company received my return weeks ago yet has kept over $400 of my money for more than a month.

I sent the unsuitable items back on the 09/12/2024. I had to chase up the status (as I hadn't heard from them and they were delivered over a week prior). They said they had "internal processing issues" and the customer service agent inputted my refunds manually instead and to expect a refund in 2-5 business days. I was initially very happy.
Both my returns combined add up to £1235.00 in total 1) £293 (5 items returned) and 2) £942 (11 items returned) but they only refunded me £171.00 back (one of the amounts was for £103.00 and the other for £68.00.) This means I'm missing £1064.00 of my refund amount.
On the 02/01/2025 I recived my incorrect refund amounts - I emailed them and have continued to email them 4 times to get this rectified and are now ghosting me. It's abhorrent...it makes no sense whatsoever. They have lost me as a future customer...and I'm not the only one! Look at all the same issues with refunds on Quora etc...feels like a scam or tax-fraud issue...this is shocking for a "high-end" workout wear company.

I placed an order before the cutoff time and paid for next-day air shipping, but my items weren't shipped on time. When I called customer service, I was on hold for over 40 minutes. When someone finally answered, it sounded like they were driving. They put me on hold again, and after 10 minutes, the call dropped.
Alo's advertised live chat is just an email system with slow responses and no real solutions. They promised to return my order to the sender and refund my shipping costs, but after 10 days and multiple follow-ups, nothing has happened.
It seems Alo is cutting corners by not hiring experienced customer support agents and outsourcing instead. Considering the high prices they charge, this is unacceptable.
I'm not alone in this experience. Other customers have reported similar issues with Alo's customer service and shipping delays.
Given these persistent issues, I've decided to stop purchasing from Alo and will look for sportswear from companies that value their customers and provide reliable service.

I bought a pair of Accolade Straight Leg Sweatpants as a Christmas gift for my daughter - I simply wanted to exchange the Large to a Medium (same color, same pants) - at the store I was told they were out of stock & was told to keep looking on line & that I had until January 6th! Well today (1/2/2025), I could not do the exchange online myself so I called the 800# and was told sorry, return window closed, no exceptions. These pants cost $128! OVER PRICED and then to be told I can't exchange it for a smaller size - HORRIBLE!!! Save your money! There's good quality sweatpants elsewhere. ALO IS THE WORST!!!!! Period!

Between the day after Christmas and today I spent (no exaggeration) a total of 4 hours on the phone and had at least 8 emails and time with the chat bot. Let me tell you do not bother with the bot. It tells you what you want to hear but Alo does not honor those terms. At one point they wanted me to return the wrong sized items, which was fine BUT said I had to place a new order at a much higher cost to get the replacement items. Finally today I got confirmation of the replacement order in the correct size at zero cost. Of course they sent to the wrong name so let's see if they arrive. Nightmare.

Im very disappointed with Alo Yoga in general, the policies are not applied as they are established. I made a purchase online on Black Friday (Nov 2024) (the whole site had 30% off) some of the items didn't fit, so I requested an exchange of three items for smaller sizes instead of returning them for a refund. The system encouraged me to do this by allowing me to select the items and the correct sizes before they went out of stock. It assured me that by adding my exchange, I would receive a tracking number for the exchanged items once my returns were processed. I did return these items, and Alo Yoga got them but never sent me the exchanged tracking number, I called them, and said they would send me a tracking number shortly and no need to worry about it. However, this turned out to be misleading, as I was issued a refund instead because the items went out of stock. Their response was nothing similar to their policies; instead, they offered me a $25 reward for the inconvenience I just had to confirm if I wanted it to send me the code. I did not accept it, I requested 30% off as the prices were when I made the purchase. They refused to.
If I had known this is how Alo operates, I wouldn't have bothered returning the three items. Additionally, I have over 2,000 points, but I'm not allowed to redeem them during a sale. If I don't use them, they will expire. Alo is failing its customers. The success of a business relies on long-term and stable relationships with its customers and a community that deserves to be respected and valued, therefore it's ok to speak up and make people aware that Alo is not reliable.

UPDATE 1 month later I finally got my money back.
I went to BBB and wrote a complaint and I called my bank and they wrote up a dispute.
I called alo early in the morning and talked to someone there very nicely and she helped me. She was helpful put in a refund for me. Make sure you save ALL emails for proof to help your case. I sure hope this helps. This was a very stressful event that should have never happened to me.it shouldn't happy to anyone.

I had the most success when I spoke to a bot on the online chat. I received an automated response that stated they would make an exception (even thought it was their error) and allow me to exchange the jacket for the correct size. The bot gave me a ticket number and confirmed that someone would be in touch with me... I have stated numerous times that I purchased this jacket for a winter trip I'm leaving for in 10 days time. There is no way that they are going to respond or correct THEIR issue within these next few days. That was over a week ago and I've still heard nothing back. The only correspondence I have received from Alo Yoga is a return tracking link - which DOESN'T WORK because my item is sale, it is non returnable. In this situation I actually need to speak to a person because this is their fault. They are the ones that sent me the wrong size. I've been left no choice now but to raise a dispute with my card provider as the goods described have not been received. For a brand like Alo Yoga, you would expect their customer service to be on point and efficient. It's absolutely atrocious and I will never purchase from them again. You can't resolve customer queries if you ignore them, or don't take the time to learn what the issue is. It's an embarrassment.

We spent $400 on 2 coats for Christmas gifts and realized they were the wrong size. Their website says "Easy Returns" and "Were here to help". I literally spent 42 minutes on the phone with customer service, most of it on hold only to be told repeatedly, sorry, our policy is our policy. Service ticket / case no #03515171.
I guess they were not as eager to help after all ....
In todays world of truly flexible return policies Alo Yoga should be more flexible or ashamed.
FYI the jackets have not been opened.

During my recent order, I purchased a few very expensive jackets and outerwear. I made a return for two pieces but soon realized I wanted to return one more jacket that just wasn't suitable for me.
I contacted the support team well before my 30-day return period was over. I received one generic response, and despite sending 5-6 emails, I was completely ignored. A man named Dane would reply every 3-4 days with unhelpful and irrelevant responses, such as sending me old labels I couldn't use. Now, my 30-day return period has ended because I was waiting for any form of support or assistance. I even suggested paying for my own shipping and only needed confirmation or approval before sending off a $300 jacket with no assurance of a refund being processed. Dane was absolutely useless and provided no assistance.
It feels like they were just trying to delay their replies so they could finally say, "I am afraid we cannot provide another label for this as the period for return has ended," without admitting that their horrible service caused this situation. I hope everyone who shops with them is aware that there is no customer support when shopping with Alo! I've never been treated like this when paying so much for luxury pieces. Thanks for nothing, Alo!

They even went so far as to accuse me of altering or editing the photos, to which I offered to bring the products into my nearest Alo store to have a sales associate judge for themselves, and again they refused, admitting that the color variation is due to "manufacturing" and that the only thing they would offer me is 10% off. After the hefty price I paid for this set, I expected much better customer service. Would not buy anything from Alo unless it's on sale, and in person, the styles are great but the quality isn't, and if you do purchase online, expect an awful return policy and customer service experience.

These leggings started looking like they'd been through a war after just a few wears. Pilling everywhere, looking old before their time. I shot Alo Yoga an email, hoping for some help or at least an acknowledgment of the issue. Instead, I got a response that basically said, "Tough luck, buddy!"
They gave me some answer about their testing process and how they can't do anything because I'm outside their return window. No warranty, no help, nothing. Seriously?
I expected more from a brand that charges an arm and a leg for their stuff. But nope, all I got was disappointment and regret. Their customer service might as well be non-existent.
Save your hard-earned cash, trust me, there are way better options out there that won't leave you feeling ripped off and ignored.

Absolutely horrible quality on their airlift leggings and this is by far the worst customer service in return. I ordered close to $1000 of clothing and they sent me a defective pair of leggings that was coming apart at the seams after 3 wears. They said this is natural wear and tear which was infuriating considering I wore them for exactly 4 hours in total. I said I would rather not look at them, it was just making me so mad their horrific response to sending me a defective item but they said that I would have to pay for shipping it back. They make it hard to review on their app and site and so I fell for all the marketing hype too. Spend your money at Lulu lemon. This was an extremely disappointing experience.

Unacceptable returns policy and extremely poor customer service - they claim to operate globally but require customers from the UK to organise and pay for returns to the US - as opposed to the UK or at least EU - which was a shock in this day and age (I was caught by their “easy returns” slogan which is clearly misleading). I don't think their policy complies with UK consumer protection laws as it effectively means no returns as the cost of a return may be higher than the expected refund. The T&Cs are also misleading in that they do not specify that returns will need to be made to the US. I will be reporting them, and will never buy from them again.

Firstly, the sizing proved to be wildly inaccurate. Despite consulting reviews that warned about this issue, I found myself with a jumper that was excessively large. It's frustrating to encounter such discrepancies when sizing is a crucial aspect of online shopping.
Deciding to return the item, I encountered another hurdle: the return process. It was disheartening to discover that ALO's return policy for international customers is both costly and burdensome. Not only was I required to foot the bill for return shipping, but I also had to handle the entire process myself, including creating shipping labels and arranging for tracking. This added an additional expense of 35 pounds just to return the product, which felt unfair and deceptive.
Moreover, despite ALO having a presence in the UK, they offer no in-store return options, further complicating the process for customers like myself. It's frustrating to see a brand neglecting the convenience and satisfaction of its customers in favor of cost-cutting measures.
This entire experience has led me to question ALO's priorities. It appears that they prioritize spending on influencers rather than investing in customer satisfaction and service. As a result, I cannot in good conscience recommend this brand to others. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment by avoiding ALO altogether.
In conclusion, my encounter with ALO's misleading sizing and unfair return policy has left me deeply disappointed. It's a stark reminder that behind the glossy facade of influencer marketing lies a brand that lacks genuine concern for its customers' experiences.

I purchase a pair of leggings, amongst other items, at their store in NYC. Having returned to the UK I have worn the leggings at most twice and they began coming away from the seams. I contacted them, sent pictures as required and was told a return label would be issued. 9 days passed and I chased for a response to which I was told as I am outside the US I have to return myself, and at a cost! This will cost me in the region of £40 for a return for soemthing which is Alos fault for selling a faulty item.

Best to avoid this brand if buying from the UK/ outside the US. I had to return one of the 3 items I purchased and incurred over £32 in shipping and packaging costs. I have reached out to Alo to ask if they could cover these costs with no such consideration. If the intention is to operate globally, please can a solution be found in this regard as the return costs outweigh any intention to purchase.
On top of this, the leggings I bought (7/8 High-Waist Airbrush Legging) are not of the quality as sold/advertised. Reason being it started developing pilling only after 2 wears which is really disappointing. Not recommended.

When i tried to return it i discovered that Alo is only in the USA but when you go on the website it is all priced in £ sterling giving no indication of location at any point during the shopping experince. It has cost me over £20 to return them and as of yet 1 month later i have no refund so i am £140 out of pocket. I have sent 2 contact us forms and absolutley nothing from them.

On November 21, 2023, I purchased a sports bra that was listed for sale. At the time of purchase, the Alo website indicated that I had the option to exchange the item but not return it. I entered into the purchase based on this assurance, as I was a first time Alo customer.
When the item arrived, it was too small, but I had been issued a receipt that specifically read “exchange only”. I took it to an Alo store in Canada to exchange it for the correct size. I was informed they could not process the exchange, as the order was placed online, and as an international retailer, they could not accept the receipt. This is frankly nonsensical as an explanation, as hundreds of other US based retailers manage to process returns in Canada every day, however I accepted the explanation and called customer service to process the online exchange.
Upon calling customer service, I was informed that exchanges cannot be processed for international orders. This was contrary to what was explicitly stated on my receipt.
Since then, I have received zero help from customer service. I continue to get unhelpful emails reiterating that exchanges aren't allowed in Canada, but no explanation as to why the receipt says exchange. This company is highly deceiving.

Unclear returns policy during the ordering process makes returning look easy; but unfortauntley I later realised that shipping costs (to an address in Las Vegas!) must be borne by the customer... making it completely unfeasable to return anything.
Based on other reviews here, I will try to sell the products privately rather than risk my parcel going missing!
The website frontage is localised to make this feel like a UK site, but everything behind the scenes is US and in dollars (despite ordering in GBP).
Very disappointing - recommend avoiding!
