Update: I am a Senior woman who developed a "SERIOUS JOCK ITCH" problem from this product everywhere I used it. Wrote to LUME & they had the nerve to say "I" must have used to much of it. A DAB as instructed. Now I have an ER bill, medication bills & who knows what else will come my way. Embarrassing, uncomfortable & irritating ! The cost was $36.00, FREE SHIPPING on orders over $25.00 was on their website. My receipt also had $0.00 for shipping. I took the top off one & noticed there was product on the sides of the top. I checked to see if the strip on top was sealed, it was. I looked under the other two caps, same thing. Sent pics to LUME. They would send a label to return the product. I rarely shop online just for this reason. Put the unopened two in a box headed to the thrift store. I had opened one & had to twist it 20+ times before the product came out. Got a response saying they would give me a refund minus the shipping. Shipping was free on website, $0.00 shipping charged on my order form. Out of the $36.00 I paid, they refunded me $13.00. Immediately upon arrival I opened it up to smell it and was instantly set back. I couldn't smell anything Lavender about it. It smelt like sour milk. I even had my husband blind react and told him I was so excited because I got a new deodorant, he smelt it and immediately gagged. I then opened the unscented one, hoping that one would at least be wearable. No, it had the exact same sour scent as the first one. I even had the courage to put some on thinking maybe it will smell different on. Within 20 minutes I was having to take a shower and change clothes to get the sour smell off of me it was making me nauseous. I requested a refund because I bought a bundle pack that had multiple. They approved it and sent me the return label and the next day I shipped the order back. It has now been over a month and I still have not received any type of refund. I have reached out through their email customer support since they don't have a number to call. I have also text their SMS number that says it doesn't work anymore and have messaged them on social media. Still no response. The first month of using this product (the cream in lavender and sage scent), it worked wonders! I had sever itching under my arms from other deodorants and this seemed to be the cure. After a month of using the product, it stopped working all day and I noticed odor. I reached out to them and asked for some advice. They gave 2 options, 1. to try an underarm detox (they never asked if I had done it already, they just assumed I did not) 2. my clothes were the issue, and they gave me the directions for using their product for cleaning my clothes (some of the tops I was wearing were brand new, again, they didn't ask, they assume to know the answers). I went ahead and bought the product again, different scents, to hold onto hope that it would work like it did in the very beginning. It did not work for me again. I reached out again recently and their response is since I am out of the 60 day return policy, there is nothing they can do. I understand written policies and why they are needed. In my own opinion, stand by the product you make and sell. If someone has issues and it does not perform in the manner that you advertise, help them recover their losses. This is one woman's opinion. I wrote to Lume since I was curious if it was supposed to smell like this, the phrase I used was "It smells like AN INFECTION." - because it truly does. It reminds me of a pussing open wound that is riddled with gangrene and quite frankly I'd rather smell like B.O than like a rotting biohazard. Their customer support is non existent but I was able to force my way to a return. Turns out, Lume never sent a confirmation emaill and when the box arrived, no packing slip, so I cannot return it without the confirmation number. What a scam. Here is the second kicker: when I made my first bundle order, I didn't get a confirmation in my email so I thought there was a processing problem-I ordered the same thing again. No confirmation email the second time either, but my bank account logged two deductions for two similar orders. Neither has confirmation order numbers, so neither could be returned. 100% money back guarantee is bogus in this case. Oh, and the product smells worse than my BO or crotch odor on any given hot day. I love the idea of a natural product that is safe to use over the entire body, since I live in the south and during the warm weather especially odor can be a real problem. I have, additionally, struggled with armpit odor (particularly in stress situations like work) and also foot odor, so I was really looking forward to a product that works. I do understand that this product is not an antiperspirant; I have just been looking for something that is natural (no aluminum or perfumes) and deals well with odor. I ordered the non scented. During the first two weeks I did notice a difference, an absence of odor. GREAT! I thought I had found my solution. Then after about two weeks I noticed that the odor was beginning to return. Since I shower every day, I was using the deodorant every day, once a day (like any other deodorant). At first it really seemed to handle the problem, but now (about two months later) it is not working at all; I once again have the same issues with underarm and foot odor that I have always had. Plus the "non-scented" has a funky smell of its own that is kind of like feet. I don't know if this has to do with my particular body chemistry or whatever, but I am disappointed. I wrote an email and told the company how I felt and asked to return it or get a difference fragrance (like the coconut, maybe) in exchange, never heard back from them. I can't wear this kind of deodorant under my arms because it is NOT an anti-perspirant (which they tell you, they do not try to hide this fact) and I perspire a lot without an anti-perspirant but I was hoping for odor relief of the other kind. You pay for return shipping, they don't refund you for that, plus they deduct each product & charge additional $5 for 1st product & $1 for each additional item in box!! No matter if you bought as a bundle! So basically you end up paying for the privilege of trying a product that doesn't work & also paying for the privilege of returning it!!
