Have used these products for a few year with 3 month break in between after using for 6 month. Contacted Olapex having a lot of unopened sealed bottles (1 litre, 250 ml and 100 ml) Appreciate these purchases were more than the 60 days however I have a genuine complaint about the products and no longer able to use them. Customer service very unhelpful and they ignored my last email. A waste of c£280 unopened products that I won't be able to use and they haven't offered to accept the return or any refund. Avoid Olapex at all costs. Would not recommend them to anyone. Read more

I brought the Olaplex No. 4C Bond Maintenance Clarifying Shampoo from Amazon. I saw lots of reviews on this product and thought it would be good for my naturally grey and increasingly fragile and fine hair since hitting the menopause. Around the same time, I also brought the LESS FRIZZ, MORE SHINE KIT from the main Olaplex site. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to the Olaplex shampoo which I brought from Amazon - my scalp developed itchy inflamed spots this has taken a month of medicated shampoo to remedy. On further research I found there is a class-action lawsuit filed in California against Olaplex Holdings Inc. by 30 plaintiffs, who claim that using Olaplex products resulted in "serious injury" to their hair and scalp. Some plaintiffs claim they experienced hair loss, with some losing more than half their hair and developing bald spots. Others experienced similar issues to me - scalp issues like extreme itchiness, rash, yeast infection, bacterial infection, open sores, burning, and overall sensitivity. Olaplex had denied these claims. I decided to return the unopened LESS FRIZZ, MORE SHINE KIT and the shampoo to Olaplex (Bleckmann UK). They promptly refunded me for the kit but not the shampoo. Since 21st February I have been repeatedly asking them to either refund the shampoo or return it. They refuse to give me a refund and state I must contact Amazon, but I can't return the shampoo to Amazon because they won't return the shampoo. Not only have I had an awful experience with this product but there is no customer care or accountability - I wouldn't touch them or their products with a barge pole. Read more

When I contacted customer service, they insisted that both items were shipped, but I never received the free product. Instead of resolving the issue, they refused to send the missing item, claiming 'low stock,' and wouldn't even allow me to return the product I did receive without charging me. This is misleading and dishonest. If you can't honor your promotions, don't run them! This experience felt like a bait-and-switch, and I won't be shopping with Olaplex again Read more

I've used Olaplex since prior to their UK launch when products had to be imported from the US at some considerable additional expense back in the day ... I've used Olaplex since prior to their UK launch when products had to be imported from the US at some considerable additional expense back in the day so overall I'm a fan - or was. I did recently make a return as I thought a promotional offered was somewhat misleading. Since then, I've had to chase up on numerous occasions for a refund and in spite of providing proof of delivery back to their warehouse on 4/11 I'm still waiting and they've advised I should wait until 16/12. 6 weeks for a refund? Absolutely not! Traders must refund within 14 days of receipt of returned goods. There are other decent comparable products available now so Olaplex isn't quite the super hot ticket it was back in 2014 so even though I do like several of the products, this is off-putting. I can't believe how much hype is around this brand when is absolutely awful. I was all in for their products, bought the big bottles of shampoo and co... I can't believe how much hype is around this brand when is absolutely awful. I was all in for their products, bought the big bottles of shampoo and conditioner, bought the no3 mask, no6 leave in and no7 oil, only to ruin my hair. I have never in my life had my hair so dried and damaged. I emailed their customer service the other week and asked them if I can get at least a partial refund for the big bottles, since their products ruined my hair, and explained to them I bought them in December so I am past the 60 days they offer for return. I got back an email that sounded more like a robot than a human, that asked me how I actually use the products and then an address where to return the products ONLY IF THEY WERE BOUGHT UNDER THE 60 DAYS LIMIT. I emailed them back explaining them how I use them and that there are more than 60 days and that was the end. No one got back to me again. So basically you don't just ruin your hair but there is no one to help you if you need. I wasted about £300 hoping to get that healthy hair promoted by everyone, only to ruin my hair. Please save your money and go for any other brand, I'm pretty sure anything is better than OLAPLEX. Read more

I agree with those who claimed the Oleplex products cause hair breakage and damage. I've been using the products without issue until I received a gift... I agree with those who claimed the Oleplex products cause hair breakage and damage. I've been using the products without issue until I received a gift of Oleplex 4P. It was then my hairdresser noticed breakage. The only change was the use of 4P. I contacted the company. Their rep said their products do not cause breakage (obviously quite a few of us disagree) and they would not let me return the product without a receipt. Since it was a gift, I don't have a receipt and I feel it would be rude to ask for one. The rep was very unsympathetic and refused to help me. I hope I can save others from this experience. This company has terrible customer service. Do not buy from them or use their products. Read more

My granddaughter recommended this product and the sales representative at Ulta was most convincing and so on December 30, 2022 I purchased the two small bottles of shampoo and conditioner on display. Didnt really notice any real change for the better right away but i loved the way the shampoo distributed so easily through all my long hair with very little product and so i just remained diligent to give it time to heal my hair. My hair began to get really tangled worse then normal after washing also began to look and feel like "straw" i was actually convinced it was my water softener not working or rejuvenating enough so i called the service man to come see about it. But they said it was perfect and tested my water for me and it was perfect. I could no longer even get a wet brush through my hair without spending 20 minutes slowly trying to detangle my hair slowly because brushing through the tangles caused handfuls of hair to fall out. Became so obvious that i Even got my husband to look at it and try to get a comb through it in hopes he would realise for it to be that bad something had to be wrong with the water. He asked me if it could be my shampoo and i said "I don't see how it could be. It's suppose to make it better not worse. My granddaughter loves it, Has to be the water" Then today i stumbled across a report about women using this product that have had the same result as me. Dry, brittle, breaking, straw like hair that is falling out! I'm going to stop using it. And do some Research on the ingredients (i should have done that first) i hope my hair will return to a better place and that the recent hair loss will grow back. I'm so disappointed. But I'm glad i learned of these issues. I don't know maybe it's just certain hair types that seem to have trouble since i do see positive reviews also and my granddaughter loves it and we have very similar hair. But then she is only 14 so there's the tic toc peer pressure power. I am 58 and just want healthy hair. Read more

I am leaving my gray grow, so I decided to use only use Olaplex 4, 5 and 7 bonding oil.I never exposed my hair to the sun or any chemicals. My hair started getting very dry after shampooing it, so I used the other products. It look better after, but I noticed I was losing a lot of hair every three days when I washed my hair. I only air dryed my hair during those three months, no hair dryer or heat tools. I did not think it was the products I was using until I decided to switch to a different brand. I also got the new blue shampoo and I had to return it at Ulta as my hair got extremely dry after my first shampoo. I will never use these products again. I put all of it in the trash. I never expected such expensive products to be so damaging. I ended with broken hair and a lot of money wasted. Read more

But when it was time for my subscription to renew, I am almost entirely sure I clicked skip shipment (because I couldn't afford another and already had some left still so I was going to wait before I fully canceled). The order went through anyway. They sent me an email at 3am my time (midnight on the west coast) saying it went through and I had four hours to cancel if I wanted to. Four hours at 3 in the morning... So I woke up at 8am, saw, just missed the mark, and emailed them anyway. They said there were unable to help and I could return them if I wanted, but I wouldn't get the shipping cost back. All in all felt a little shady to me, clearly no one is canceling their order four hours from midnight (or 3am in my case). Read more
